Port of Dakar (Senegal)

Long sea-level records can also be found around the globe. There are very few records dating back more than 100 years in the African and other equatorial and southern hemisphere regions, but the Dakar site is one of them. Dakar's tide stations have been recording sea level measurements since the beginning of the 20th century.

Monthly mean sea level time series reconstruction. Incorporating new sea level data recovered from tidal charts and tabulations at SHOM (Wöppelmann et al. 2008)
