Inventory action concerning the sea level data in Corsica
Details of the banner of the Internet site of the DREAL Corsica (March 2012)
Following theCynthia event that struck the Atlantic coast in February 2010, the Prefect for Corsica, with the support of the DREAL Corsica (regional department for the environment, development and housing), sought to collect sea level observations made along the Corsican coastline. These data will make it possible to define potential problems concerning flooding along the Corsican coast by the sea.
It should be noted that this action falls fully within the scope of REFMAR's missions: "all bodies, establishments or departments collecting, organizing the collection of or having within its possession sea level observations ... are encouraged to put any historical data that they have in their possession into the ad-hoc format and communicate them to the national reference body so that they can be added to the existing data bases"..
If your organization possesses this type of data, we would be grateful if you could complete a brief questionnaire, available by clicking on the screen snapshot below:

Initially, the Corsican sea level and storm observations will be placed in an inventory. If more complete studies have been conducted, they can be sent to REFMAR, which will forward them to the DREAL Corsica.
Subsequently, the tide gauge data thus found or digitized using the NUNIEAU software thanks to the DREAL Corsica will be made available on the REFMAR portal.
